  1. i) DON’T tap the mic. ii) stick to the time you’re given iii) thank the audience when you’ve finished. That way they’ll know you’ve finished

    2. KEEP TO THE TIME.
    3.Enjoy yourself.

    NEVER exceed your time slot.
    Be prepared, but be prepared to be spontaneous.
    Read well. You owe it to your poems as well as to your audience.
